General Purchase Information

  1. All Kiko goats sold as breeding stock are or can be IKGA registered. Buyers will receive either current IKGA registration papers with appropriate transfer forms and information, or papers will be sent directly from the IKGA at the SELLER’S expense. (Ask us, or check your receipt.)
  2. Some of our goats are also AKGA registered, and we have completed DNA requests from the AKGA. We will give you the information and signed forms for you to send in to the AKGA if you so desire.
  3. Purebred Fainting Goats are registered with the Myotonic Goat Registry.
  4. All goats sold as breeding stock are guaranteed to be healthy when they leave Ravenden Ridge Ranch. Goats sold as breeding stock are guaranteed to be viable when bred within the first two breeding seasons and maintained in a good state of health. If a goat should prove to be unfit for breeding, your money will be refunded or the goat will be replaced, upon the unfit goat’s return to our ranch.
  5. All our goats are vaccinated with CD/T at the proper ages.
  6. All our goats are Scrapie tagged, except Fainting Goats, which are tattooed. All registered goats are microchipped, either in the upper neck or usually in the tail web.
  7. EPDs or weights on your goat(s) at 30 and 90 days available on request.
  8. A deposit of 50% of the purchase price will be required to hold your goat until weaning or until the pickup time. Contact us to make arrangements, or phone.
  9. Goats are to be picked up from Ravenden Ridge Ranch.
  10. Buyers must pay for their goats before the goats are picked up or shipped.
  11. Goats may be shipped at the buyers’ expense. See Links page for some of the carriers we know.
  12. Delivery or transport part-way to you MIGHT be possible—please ask.
  13. Health Certificates, if required by the Buyer’s state, will be paid for by the buyer. (State laws vary. Check this website, www.aphis.usda.gov/vs/sregs/ for more information.) We can arrange for the veterinarian if the buyer requests it.
  14. If you have any questions or are new to goats, be sure to check out our LINKS page.
